Shoot the Frame - Finalist

My July 2019 Shoot the Frame Finalist Award

I'm very please to announce that I was named as a Finalist for Shoot the Frame's "Shoot the Face" competition. Its very encouraging to have my work recognized by a website I have admired for a while. Its truly an honor to be a Finalist in this competition. If you would like to see the gallery, you can view it here.

The photo I submitted was of Bella on my first trip to Northern Tibet. I still remember asking Andy (my guide) if it was ok to take her photo. She was so surprised that I would want to take a photo of her. She could not stop laughing when we said she was beautiful. This shot was taken after she laughed at us for a few moments and composed herself. Such a kind person and I loved staying at her hostel. She gave me a Buddhist prayer scarf as a blessing as we left and I have kept that with me to this day. I cannot stress enough how kind and peaceful the people of Tibet are. Hope to go again soon!
